Description

The Alberta Regeneration Standards for the Mineable Oil Sands (MOS ARS) applies to all Dispositions Holders operating in The Athabasca Oil Sands Region under an Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA) Approval for the Construction, Operation and Reclamation of an Oil Sands Mine. This manual has two general goals for implementation: adaptive management and continuous improvement. Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development (AESRD) is committed to applying these standards in a fashion designed to further these goals.
