La contribution du gouvernement du Canada à la nouvelle École des Quatre-Vents localisée à Peace River appuiera l’ajout d’espaces dédiés aux programmes préscolaires et de garderie ainsi qu’à un espace multifonctionnel pour la communauté francophone locale. Ce projet est financé dans le cadre de l’Entente Canada-Alberta relative à l’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et à l’enseignement de la langue seconde 2019-2020. Approuvé à l’origine le 23 mars 2021; modification en vigueur le 1 avril 2022.

The Government of Canada's contribution to the new École des Quatre-Vents in Peace River will support the addition of spaces dedicated to the community pre-school and daycare programs as well as a multi-purpose space for the local Francophone community. This project is funded under the Canada–Alberta Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second-Language Instruction 2019-2020. Originally approved March 23, 2021; amendment effective April 1, 2022.

The Government of Alberta has developed Seniors’ Community Profiles to assist with local-level planning by the community-based seniors-serving sectors and other organizations. The profiles report a range of demographic, economic, physical and mental health, and health care utilization indicators relevant to the seniors population. These community profiles provide information at the Local Geographic Area (LGA), Zone, and Alberta levels for 114 LGAs in Alberta. The profiles are intended to highlight areas of need and provide relevant information to support the consistent and sustainable community planning.

To assist with primary health care planning, Alberta Health has developed a series of reports to provide a broad range of demographic, socio-economic and population health statistics considered relevant to primary health care for communities across the province. These community profiles provide information at the Zone and Local Geographic Area (LGA) level for each of the 132 LGAs in Alberta. Each Profile offers an overview of the current health status of residents in the LGA, indicators of the area's current and future health needs, and evidence as to which quality services are needed on a timely basis to address the area's needs. The profiles are intended to highlight areas of need and provide relevant information to support the consistent and sustainable planning of primary health services.

Forest company forest management plans (FMPs) detail when, where and how timber on Alberta Crown land will be managed in order to balance social, economic and environmental needs based on input from the public, Indigenous peoples and interest groups. The forest management planning area under consideration is FMA 0900044 allocated to Mercer Peace River Pulp Ltd. The FMP covers Forest Management Unit P21 located entirely within the Lower Peace Land-Use Framework planning region in northern Alberta; it falls within the Dry Mixedwood, Central Mixedwood, Upper Boreal Highlands and Lower Boreal Highlands natural subregions.

The Peace River Parkland Natural Subregion accounts for only 0.5 per cent of the province and is characterized by gently rolling cultivated plains and steep south-facing grassy and forested slopes along the Peace River and its tributaries. Vegetation is a mosaic and dominated by forests of aspen and white spruce, wetlands and small remnant grasslands on the uplands, and dry grasslands and aspen forests on valley slopes. This guide represents the analysis of 378 plots described in the Peace River Parkland subregion. These 378 plots represent 73 observed and described plant community types. An analysis of successional changes in the presence and absence of grazing disturbance for the grasslands (Appendix 1) and aspen (Appendix 2) dominated community types for the Peace region is also outlined in Appendices 1 and 2. Included in this approximation is a crosswalk table to the Alberta Wetland Classification System (AWCS) and a list of ecological sustainable stocking rates for each plant...

The Peace River Parkland Natural Subregion accounts for only 0.5 percent of the province and is characterised by gently rolling cultivated plains and steep south-facing grassy and forested slopes along the Peace River and its tributaries.
