Description

The Horse Racing Alberta Act establishes Horse Racing Alberta (HRA) as the corporation that governs, directs, controls, regulates, manages, markets and promotes horse racing in any and all forms in Alberta. HRA’s objectives include protecting the health and well being of all individuals and animals, in addition to safeguarding the interests of the general public regarding horse racing. Additionally, this Act establishes the appeal process for a racing participant to appeal a decision made by a track judge or steward.
