Description

Forest company forest management plans (FMPs) detail when, where and how timber on Alberta Crown land will be managed in order to balance social, economic, and environmental needs based on input from the public, Indigenous peoples and stakeholders. The forest management area covered in this plan is FMA 9200030, allocated to Sundre Forest Products Inc. through Order-in-Council (O.C. 261/2012 dated July 24, 2012). The FMP includes the FMA and non-FMA portion of Forest Management Unit (FMU) R10, collectively known as the Defined Forest Area (DFA). The DFA is located within the North Saskatchewan Land-use Framework planning region with two partial townships in the southern tip of the FMA in the South Saskatchewan Land-use Framework planning region.

The forest management planning area under consideration is FMA 0900046. The FMP includes the FMA and non-FMA portions of Forest Management Unit R15, collectively known as the Defined Forest Area (DFA). The DFA is located within the Upper Athabasca and North Saskatchewan Land-use Framework planning regions in west central Alberta; it falls within the Central Mixedwood, Upper Foothills, Lower Foothills and Subalpine Natural Subregions.

The forest management planning area under consideration is FMA 0200041 allocated to Manning Forest Products Ltd. (formerly known as Manning Diversified Forest Products Ltd.). The FMP Forest Management Unit P20 located in northwestern Alberta within the Upper and Lower Peace Land-Use Framework planning regions; it fall within the Upper Boreal Highlands, Lower Boreal Highlands, Dry Mixedwood and Central Mixedwood Natural Subregions.
