Environmental Impact Assessment and associated applications pertaining to the proposed Coal Valley Resources Inc. Robb Trend Project. The proposal is for expansion of the Coal Valley Mine to allow mining in the Robb Trend area, located within Yellowhead County in proximity to the community of Robb. The reserve estimate for the Project area is about 177.5 million tonnes of raw coal. The EIA was deemed complete in 2014. Environmental Impact Assessment and associated applications pertaining to the proposed Coalspur Mines Ltd. Vista Coal Mine Project. The proposal is for a project area that would cover about 2,500 hectares and contains sites allocated for the coal mine and associated infrastructure. The project locatation is in Yellowhead County, approximately 10 km from the Hinton town boundary and extends away from Hinton to the southeast for about 12 km up to the McLeod River Valley. Environmental Impact Assessment and associated applications pertaining to the proposed Coal Valley Resources Inc. Mercoal West/Yellowhead Tower Mine Expansion Project. The proposal is to develop additional coal reserves adjacent to existing mining operations in Coal Valley in Yellowhead County. The proposed Mercoal West Mine Project would produce 7.2 million tonnes of processed coal and be located northwest of the community of Mercoal. The Yellowhead Tower Mine Project would produce 6.0 million tonnes of processed coal and be located northwest of the community of Coalspur. The EIA was deemed complete in 2009.
