Presents findings of an investigation into a workplace fatality that took place in the construction and construction trades sector in May 2016. A worker was installing stucco on a new residential multi-family building when the worker fell from a platform on a single-pole scaffold. The fall caused fatal injuries.

A labourer working for a landscaping company was in a trench connecting a new sewer line from the municipality’s drainage system to a residential site under construction. While the labourer was in the trench, the south wall of the trench collapsed trapping and fatally injuring the labourer.
