This document is intended to provide Alberta Transportation staff, other government agencies, municipalities, and other proponents with the necessary information and tools for considering and developing trails in highway rights-of-way. It should be noted that this document is intended to be fluid and will require periodic review and possible revisions over time to reflect new practices and lessons learned.
