Description

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the operational, safety, and economic performance of the high tension cable barrier system installed in the median of Highway 2, between Airdrie and Red Deer and in the vicinity of Leduc. It finds that the barrier has reduced the severity of collisions, is highly cost effective, and can serve as a model for further application of this barrier application in Alberta and in other Canadian jurisdictions.

This report presents an overview of the activities, initiatives and accomplishments under the MOU that ended December 31, 2012.
