Description

This fact sheet is intended to assist condominium developers in complying with requirements for the process of preparing a converted property study (CPS). Developers must provide a completed CPS to a purchaser of a condominium unit that is in a building converted from a former use. The CPS replaces the building assessment report that was required prior to July 1, 2021.

Under the authority of the Public Health Act, Service Alberta has issued a Ministerial Order that will temporarily modify certain provisions under the Condominium Property Act and Regulation related to time, location, distance, and collection of utility payments. These temporary measures, effective April 9, 2020 will protect public safety and allow corporations to remain focused on their operations during the pandemic, while remaining compliant with legislation. They will remain in effect for the duration of Alberta’s State of Public Health Emergency.
