The Design and Technical Guidelines developed by Seniors and Housing are intended as benchmarks, to outline the minimum standards required by the province when developing provincially-funded housing in Alberta. The guidelines serve as a tool to convey guiding design principles and technical specifications for the construction of affordable housing, and provide direction to housing management bodies, designers, project managers, developers and contractors in new construction and major renovation projects.
