Description

Presents the findings of an investigation into a workplace fatality in the wholesale and retail trade sector that occurred in December 2013. A worker was called out to repair a tire on a piece of heavy equipment. During the repair process, the tire flew off the rim and a ring from the assembly struck the worker causing fatal injuries. Presents the findings of an investigation into a workplace fatality in the wholesale and retail trade sector that occurred in June, 2014. A worker was servicing his personal vehicle at his employer’s service shop. While under the vehicle, the worker was using a pry bar to move the front end back and forth and the stand supporting the truck frame on the driver side toppled.
