Highway and Pedestrian Structures shall be designed in accordance with “CAN/CSA-S6-06 Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code” (CHBDC), and in accordance with other codes and standards, referred to in this “Bridge Structures Design Criteria” (BSDC), or with the prior written approval of the Department.
