Description

The aim of the Alberta Administrative Licence Suspension (AALS) program, which came into effect on December 1, 1999, is to improve traffic safety by providing law enforcement with a new tool to remove impaired drivers from Alberta’s roadways. This report presents the findings of a study conducted in 2003 to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, and makes recommendations to ensure its long-term value.
