The Alberta Health Survey was conducted annually from 1995 to gather information about public perceptions of health and the health system in Alberta. Survey information is used for developing, monitoring and reporting on several performance measures identified in the Ministry of Health and Wellness three-year Business Plan.

Description

This resource presents the findings of a2002 survey which aimed to measure the public’s opinion, beliefs, and knowledge of various aspects of HIV, Hepatitis C and sexually transmitted diseases. The survey was the ninth in a series of studies conducted for Alberta Health and Wellness by the Population Research Laboratory at the University of Alberta, and expands the focus from HIV/AIDS to include Hepatitis C and sexually transmitted diseases.
