The Early Development Instrument community profile reports provide local-level information on children’s developmental outcomes during the Kindergarten year, in the domains of physical health and wellbeing, social competence, emotional maturity, language and cognitive development, and communication and general knowledge. By providing information to support the understanding of the state of children’s developmental health, the reports facilitate informed decision-making that in turn supports positive change for children’s developmental trajectories. The reports also provide local leaders and stakeholders with relevant data that can be used to inform local planning and improvement activities.
