Report on the travel of Ricardo Miranda, Minister of Culture and Tourism, to South Korea to participate in the Pyeongchang International Olympic Observer Program in support of the Calgary bid to host the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. While in South Korea, the Minister also took the time to advance Alberta’s international priority to diversify markets to help grow Alberta’s economy.

The Memorandum will also facilitate information sharing between the jurisdictions, enhance working relationships, and promote partnerships in areas of mutual interest. Without limiting the areas of mutual interest, Alberta and NWT agree to cooperate and share information related to trade, transportation, tourism, regional and community economic development, resource development, energy, the environment, health and social services, education training and skill development, and research and innovation.
