Environmental Impact Assessment and associated applications pertaining to the proposed Canadian Natural Resources Limited Grouse In Situ Oil Sands Project. The proposal includes the use of steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) technology for extraction of bitumen, a bitumen processing facility with a capacity of 50,000 barrels per day (7,949 m3/d) and a production life of approximately 20 years. The location is approximately 75 kilometres northeast of Lac La Biche, Alberta in Lac La Biche County. The EIA was deemed complete in 2015. Environmental Impact Assessment and associated applications pertaining to the proposed Canadian Natural Resources Limited Kirby In-Situ Oil Sands Expansion Project. The proposal is to increase SAGD bitumen production by 85,000 bbl/d (13,515 m3/d). The proposed project is located primarily within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, with small portions in Lac La Biche County, approximately 75 km northeast of Lac La Biche and 10 km south of Conklin.
