This report presents and analyses the results of a recreation use and experience survey conducted from July to September 2020 at key staging areas in the Elbow Valley, focusing on users of the Moose Mountain and West Bragg Creek trail networks. The purpose of the study was to better understand the distribution, use and experience of visitors at the popular recreation areas in the Elbow Valley.

This document provides a blueprint for the mountain bike trail system in the Moose Mountain area, in the North Central Kananaskis Recreation Management Unit, focusing on trails designed, built and operated by the Moose Mountain Bike Trail Society. The plan catalogues the existing trails and identifies strategic locations for proposed trail developments to support increased recreational opportunities, while mitigating issues identified in the environmental review. The plan also describes the processes for ongoing management, monitoring and maintenance of the trail system.
