Environmental assessment registry documents pertaining to the proposed Canadian Natural Resources Limited Horizon North Pit Extension. The proposal is to develop a northeast mine pit extension (NPE Project) to sustain production rates of the approved North Mine Pit at the Horizon Oil Sands Processing Plant and Mine. The project is expected to include the following changes to the Horizon Mine: extension of the approved north mine pit to include the NPE Project area (1,015 ha); additional overburden storage areas (2,396 ha); and updated closure and reclamation plans. The Northwest Caribou Sub-regional Task Force was one of three task forces established in November 2019 to develop recommendations to inform the development of sub-regional plans to support caribou recovery in Alberta. The task force included representatives from First Nations, Métis groups, municipalities, environmental non-governmental organizations (ENGOs), the forest industry, the energy industry, trappers, motorized recreation groups, and other land-users. This reports presents the recommendations made by the task force to inform the development of a sub-regional plan for the Bistcho Lake sub-regional area, which includes the Bistcho woodland caribou range.

This cartographic quality series of printable 1:2 000 000 scale colour maps cover the provincial extent of Alberta. The 1:2 000 000 scale maps are a generalized small scale version of the 1:1 000 000 scale map. The primary provincial base map displays the Alberta Township System (ATS), major hydrographic features, municipalities, major roads, and select geo-administrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). In addition to the primary provincial base map, this series includes various themes that overlay the primary base map. Refer to the 'time period of content' in the metadata record for currency of each map product. Each individual map sheet is provided in Adobe .pdf format within a downloadable WinZip file. This series is generally updated on an annual basis.
