Informed by the work and recommendations of the Northeast Caribou Sub-Regional Task Force, the Cold Lake Lake Sub-Regional Plan supports management approaches that support naturally functioning ecosystems that will benefit a wide range of species. It demonstrates Alberta's commitment to develop our resources while supporting other land uses and the variety of wildlife and ecosystems across the sub-region. This holistic approach to land and resource management will maintain resilient ecosystems capable of supporting Alberta's economic, social, and environmental objectives for the Cold Lake Sub-region.

In the context of Alberta public lands dispositions, a Compiled Plan is a plan compiled from existing survey evidence from one or more survey plans available within public repositories. Boundaries may be altered by unambiguously referencing them to existing affected disposition boundaries without placing new monuments. As survey evidence is used or referenced to create new boundaries and shown on the Compiled Plan, it must be prepared and signed by an Alberta Land Surveyor.
