Le rôle du Comité consultatif provincial du PLOÉ est de discuter d’une stratégie d’orientation et de leadeurship, et de l’élaborer afin d’assurer la vitalité de l’éducation francophone et des programmes d’immersion française et de français langue seconde en Alberta, au moyen de subventions ciblées, d’une meilleure prestation des programmes et d’une action collaborative.
