This document provides background information on dual credit in Alberta and details the government's plan to move forward with a provincial Alberta Dual Credit Framework that includes an approved description of dual credit, guiding principles, and funding information. The Framework provides high-level direction for implementation of Alberta Education-authorized dual credit programming in Alberta. It informs decision making at the provincial and local levels to promote equitable access to dual credit for high school students and to ensure applicable resources are in place for provincial implementation.

Le projet prévoit l’amélioration des installations et de l’équipement dans le but de soutenir la stratégie pédagogique et numérique globale permettant de joindre un plus vaste auditoire au-delà des limites physiques du campus. Ce projet d’immobilisation inclut la rénovation d’infrastructures essentielles et le réaménagement de 376 m2 de la bibliothèque pour convertir cet espace en deux salles de classe pour augmenter l’espace consacré aux services numériques du CSJ dans le pavillon McMahon à Edmonton. Ce projet est financé dans le cadre de l’Entente Canada-Alberta relative à l’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et à l’enseignement de la langue seconde 2020-2023.

This project aims to make improvements to the facilities and equipment at Campus Saint-Jean in order to contribute to its comprehensive pedagogical and digital strategy aimed at reaching a broader audience beyond the limitations of the physical campus. This capital project includes the renewal of critical infrastructure and the repurposing of 376 m2 of the library to convert it into two new classrooms to increase CSJ’s digital capacity in the McMahon pavilion, in Edmonton. This project is funded under the Canada-Alberta Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second-Language Instruction 2020-2023.

Ce projet comprend deux volets : la consolidation des ressources des quatre conseils scolaires francophones afin de promouvoir l’éducation francophone et le recrutement d'enseignants, et la création d'un environnement de travail qui encourage la collaboration au sein de la profession, incluant un programme de mentorat de qualité et un soutien efficace de leadership qui permettra aux nouveaux enseignants de développer un fort sentiment de rendement personnel. Ce projet sera financé dans le cadre de l’Entente Canada-Alberta relative à l’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et à l’enseignement de la langue seconde 2020-2021 à 2022-2023, qui inclut un engagement pour une amélioration continue de recrutement et rétention d’enseignants francophones et de français langue seconde.

This project consists of two components: the consolidation of the resources of the four francophone school boards in order to promote francophone education and recruit teachers, and the creation of work environments that foster cooperation in the profession including a strong mentoring program and effective leadership support that allow beginning teachers to develop a strong sense of personal effectiveness. The project is funded under the Canada–Alberta Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second Official-Language Instruction 2020-21 to 2022-23, which includes a commitment to improving francophone and French-language teacher recruitment and retention.
