It is an extensive information resource on practical everyday issues, which adds to information already provided through training and policy. This designated review focused on the deaths of two young children who received child intervention (CI) services while in parental care. The review team gathered information and conducted an analysis of CI involvement by reviewing relevant documentation and research. The team also interviewed CI practitioners, community partners, and subject matter experts. An analysis of the information and review of research informed the findings and recommendations. Throughout the designated review, the review team sought to understand the context of the worksites and communities, the level of service provided, and the decisions made during CI involvement.

The consultations took place between June 15 to July 15, 2020 and included virtual engagement sessions and online surveys. This report presents a summary of the results from the child care consultation process.
