The Alberta Government monitors compliance of forestry-related legislation, regulations and policy directives. Government is required to report all contraventions and non-compliance by disclosing the name of the person or company who has broken the law or specific conditions, the municipality in which the person resides or the company is located, a description of the contravention, and the amount of the penalty.

Description

The Alberta Crop Report provides timely provincial and regional summaries of crop production in Alberta during the crop season, and is used by industry and other stakeholders for various purposes, including drought monitoring and forecasting of production insurance payments. The report is also used to validate some of the Alberta crop estimates generated by Statistics Canada. Data for the report is collected through regular surveys on moisture and crop conditions, progress of seeding and harvesting, insect and disease situation, yield potential and crop quality, etc., along with information from other sources. Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AF) has delivered the Alberta Crop Reporting Program to clients since 1940.

These estimates, along with the survey results are shared with survey participants, industry, Statistics Canada and other stakeholders.

This addendum outlines Forest Management Agreement-specific ground rules which apply to the Manning Forest Products FMA. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules 2022. Where a rule in the Addendum and a rule in the Provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the Addendum governs. FMA specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes. These are meant to be a small list related to specific FMP requirements and not a preferred deviation or exceptions from the provincial OGRs.
