This guide was developed to assist highway service contractors in identifying wildlife found throughout the province, and thus to enhance the detail and quality of wildlife carcass information being reported. Improvements in species identification will support our understanding of species-specific vehicle collisions and help facilitate improvements to motorist and wildlife safety along the highways.
