The forest management planning area under consideration is FMA 7500020. The FMP includes the FMA and non-FMA portions of Forest Management Unit (FMU) W14, collectively known as the Defined Forest Area (DFA). The DFA is located within the Upper Athabasca, and Upper Peace Land-Use Framework planning regions in west central Alberta; it falls within the Upper Foothills, Lower Foothills, and Central Mixedwood Natural Subregions.

This forest management plan covers Forest Management Area (FMA) 0900046 and includes the FMA and non-FMA portion of Forest Management Unit (FMU) R15, collectively known as the Defined Forest Area (DFA). The DFA is located in west central Alberta and falls within the Central Mixedwood, Upper Foothills, Lower Foothills and Subalpine natural subregions. The DFA is located within the Upper Athabasca and North Saskatchewan Land-use Framework planning regions.

This Stewardship Report provides an overview of Weyerhaeuser - Pembina Timberlands’ five-year performance on commitments made in the 2016 Forest Management Plan (FMP). Stewardship reporting is a mandatory process summarizing and comparing planned and actual performance with the intent of achieving objectives and targets (VOITs) identified in the approved forest management plan, at a point mid-way through the life of the FMP. The report identifies areas where adjustments may be required for VOITs deemed to be outside of the acceptable variance allowed in the FMP. Preparation of the Stewardship Report is an FMA holder responsibility. Other timber disposition holders are responsible for preparing and providing input to the FMA holder as it relates to their activities within the Defined Forest Area.
