McGregor Reservoir is a popular camping and recreation area located in Vulcan County, approximately 100 km southeast of Calgary. Erosion from high waves is impacting private lands and prevents the reservoir from being filled to its full capacity. This fact sheet outlines a project to build rock berms along the McGregor shoreline to protect private lands from erosion and preserve aquatic habitat.

This publication is an awareness and education program for off-highway vehicles spearheaded by Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation as part of the Alberta Recreational Corridor and Trails Designation Program. It was developed by a collaboration of stakeholders and experts in the safety and stewardship areas. This program is intended for children and youth from grades 1 to 12 and was designed for use by an instructor visiting a classroom.
