Description

This guide is intended to assist proponents and operators of oil production sites in understanding the regulatory requirements under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act and its regulations. An oil production site is the field production facilities for recovering heavy oil or oil sands within a designated area in northern and eastern Alberta. The first part of the guide discusses conservation and reclamation approval and environmental protection guidelines, while the second part of the guide focuses on reclamation certification.
