Under the agreement, equal funding is provided by both governments to projects that develop, implement and improve French-Language services in Alberta. Cette entente entre le Canada et l’Alberta vise la prestation de services en français aux Albertaines et aux Albertains. En vertu de l’entente, un financement égal est fourni par chaque gouvernement aux projets qui permettent de créer, de mettre en œuvre ou d’améliorer des services en français en Alberta.

The Canada-Alberta Agreement on French-Language Services is a federal-provincial cooperation agreement to provide seed-funding to Albertan entities to develop, implement and improve French-Language Services in the province of Alberta. Grants are provided on a project-basis to provide financial support to government, government agencies and registered non-profit organizations in Alberta to develop and enhance capacity to operate and to deliver services to French- speaking Albertans. This resource provides information on grant recipients, including the amount of funding awarded.

The Plains, Northern, Foothills Boundary feature class contains polygon features representing Department of Energy Regional Boundaries for the Province of Alberta. The Alberta Regional Boundaries divide Alberta into the Plains Region, Northern Region, and Foothills Region, for administration of Petroleum and Natural Gas Licences. A petroleum and natural gas licence is issued for an initial term of two years if it is located in the Plains Region, four years in the Northern Region, and five years in the Foothills Region.

Unlike families, households may be comprised of individuals who are not related either through blood, marriage or children as in the case of either an economic family (related by blood, married/common law or adoption) or census families (married/common law with or without children and lone parents). For instance, a household may be comprised of two individuals, not related, who share a common dwelling. The Survey of Household Spending is carried out annually across Canada in the ten provinces. Data for the territories are available for 1998, 1999 and every second year thereafter. The main purpose of the survey is to obtain detailed information about household spending during the reference year (previous calendar year). Information is also collected about dwelling...
