Forest company forest management plans (FMPs) detail when, where and how timber on Alberta Crown land will be managed in order to balance social, economic and environmental needs based on input from the public, Indigenous peoples and interest groups. The forest management planning area under consideration is FMA 0900044 allocated to Mercer Peace River Pulp Ltd. The FMP covers Forest Management Unit P21 located entirely within the Lower Peace Land-Use Framework planning region in northern Alberta; it falls within the Dry Mixedwood, Central Mixedwood, Upper Boreal Highlands and Lower Boreal Highlands natural subregions.

Forest company forest management plans (FMPs) detail when, where and how timber on Alberta Crown land will be managed in order to balance social, economic and environmental needs based on input from the public, Indigenous peoples and interest groups. The forest management planning area under consideration is FMA 8900026. The FMP includes the FMA and non-FMA portions of Forest Management Unit W14, collectively known as the Defined Forest Area (DFA). The DFA is located within the Upper Athabasca and Upper Peace Land-Use Framework planning regions in west central Alberta; it falls within the Subalpine, Upper Foothills, Lower Foothills and Central Mixedwood Natural Subregions.

This addendum outlines Forest Management Plan-specific ground rules which apply to area outlined in Forest Management Agreement 9900037. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules 2022. Where a rule in the Addendum and a rule in the Provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the Addendum governs. FMP-specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes. These are meant to be a small list related to specific FMP requirements and not a preferred deviation or exceptions from the provincial OGRs.
