The objective of this four-year project (2024-2028) is to provide new, larger school and community spaces to the Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord on the land currently occupied by École Boréale. In addition, the province wishes to use this opportunity to enhance the vitality of the Francophone community by adding larger childcare and multipurpose spaces in the new École Boréale.

The objective of this four-year project (2024-2028) is to build a new French-language secondary school (Grade 7 to Grade 12) in Airdrie. In addition, the province will use this opportunity to enhance the vitality of the Francophone community by including a dedicated performance venue in the secondary school. This dedicated space within the secondary school premises will be able to accommodate various performing arts activities and serve as a multipurpose performance venue.

Located approximately 250 km east of Calgary and 100 km north from Medicine Hat, Alberta, the Project is a proposed greenfield irrigation project that will provide irrigation within the MD of Acadia and Special Areas. The Project requires a new Red Deer River pump station and will involve pumping water from the Red Deer River and storing it in reservoirs to use for irrigation. The Project will include the creation of two preliminary reservoirs, one (with a live storage volume of approximately 34,000,000 m3 and a maximum dam height of 30.5 m) located 1 km north of the Red Deer River, on the boundary between the MD of Acadia and Special Area No. 3, and the other (with a live storage volume of approximately 134,000,000 m3 and a maximum dam height of 40 m) located approximately 5.5 km southwest of Bindloss, AB.
