A worker was operating an excavator on an ice surface in a borrow pit when the excavator broke through the ice. The operator was trapped inside the cabin and drowned.

Administrative, economic, survey, and interview data is analyzed to determine the changes in injury claims, cost benefits, and barriers and facilitators to the uptake and sustainability of this safe patient/client handling program at acute care sites.
