Outlines the obligations and duties of individuals involved in creating and releasing government publications, to ensure the quality, reliability, integrity and accessibility of these publications. The document describes what information products are considered government publications under the guideline, sets out the publishing responsibilities of the various partners in the publishing process, and outlines the process for publishing. Appendices include information on the Government of Alberta's ISBN and depository library programs, and the application of the open government licence to government information.
