This bulletin is issued to inform practitioners and department staff that ASTM D4956 Type IX or Type XI fluorescent yellow sheeting will be the new standard for all warning signs in the WA, WB and WC categories, and WD-182 ("New") sign and its associated tab signs.

Description

This Bulletin is issued to inform practitioners and department staff that ASTM D4956 Type IX or Type XI fluorescent yellow sheeting will be the new standard for select high priority warning signs, listed below. The use of this higher standard sheeting will be an enhancement to the retroreflectivity, conspicuity and visibility of select warning signs throughout the province as compared to regular yellow high intensity sheeting (ASTM D4956 Type III and IV), thereby improving safety.
