Description

This report describes the properties of the surface and subsoil of the various soil types, and gives the fertility invoice of the principal areas in the Calgary and Blackfoot regions of south central Alberta. It describes the topography, drainage, water supply, and alkali problems of the area. Methods of soil management and possible utilization of the area are discussed. It also contains a brief discussion of the climate and agricultural development of the area, together with the important farm crops and transportation facilities.

Presents the findings of an investigation into a workplace fatality in the transportation communication and utilities sector that occurred in August, 2008. A 20-year old male worker, employed as a truck driver, was slowly moving a truck with two attached trailers to a wash bay in the yard. The worker was steering the rear trailer from controls on the side of the trailer. The worker was run over by the rear wheels of the trailer.
