This report provides insight into the labour market outcomes of graduates of Alberta's post-secondary institutions. Student enrolment data for the classes of 2009 to 2019 is linked to tax records to determine median incomes of post-secondary graduates by credential and field of study in years following graduation. The report also aims to provide contextual analysis on graduate earnings by credential and field of study.

Every two years graduates of apprenticeship programs and first period apprentices are surveyed regarding their satisfaction with their apprenticeship program and their labour market experiences. Satisfaction with various aspects of the program such as on-the job learning, classroom instruction and interaction with Client Services staff are included as well as employment status, earnings and relatedness of employment to their apprenticeship program.

Every two years, Advanced Education commissions a survey of post-secondary graduates called the Graduate Outcomes Survey, to collect information that is used to inform strategic planning and results reporting, both for the Province and for post-secondary institutions. The project also included the Employment Success Survey, which is fielded to supervisors of employed graduates, to acquire information about the skills and knowledge of recent graduates and to what extent they match the types of skills and knowledge that employers require in employees.

Every 2 years graduates of apprenticeship programs are surveyed about their satisfaction with their program and their labour market experiences. This report covers findings for graduates of the 2020/21 academic year. Satisfaction with various aspects of the program such as on-the job learning, classroom instruction and interaction with Client Services staff are included as well as employment status, earnings and relatedness of employment to their apprenticeship program. This year apprentices in their first period of training were also surveyed about their experiences and satisfaction with their program.
