The Recreational Access Regulation was created in 2003 under the Public Lands Act to ensure the agricultural leaseholder has the ability to protect and care for the land and their livestock, while allowing some recreational access to the land. The purpose of this fact sheet is to provide an overview of the rights and responsibilities of an agricultural leaseholder under the regulation.
