This report summarizes the results of a reclamation project at Rocky Creek, a tributary to the Clearwater River. The project was initiated in 2017 to reduce sedimentation, to eliminate direct threats of recreational use of the area on bull trout habitat, and to monitor the response of the bull trout population.

Description

This dataset provides the point locations of horse bands as they were observed during annual aerial surveys. Equine Management Zones are surveyed using a helicopter and horses observed on the landscape during minimum count surveys are reported. Data is stored in file geodatabase, feature class format with associated attributes, meaning each point has a number of horses observed and age class. This dataset simply reports the horses counted on the landscape at one snapshot in time. This data also depicts the flight track flown during the annual aerial minimum counts. Surveys are flown by helicopter once per year when suitable conditions permit. Areas are typically flown by grid pattern within high density areas and over known horse locations. This report summarizes results of Greater sage-grouse habitat assessments conducted in 2023.

The technical report summarizes temporal trends occurring for select water quality parameters within a 15-year dataset of water quality information collected during the Irrigation District Water Quality program. Temporal trends at the regional and sample site scale were conducted to determine overall change in water quality parameters and identify possible areas of concern. This information is critical for enabling the agriculture and irrigation sectors to be proactive in addressing environmental concerns, food safety and demonstrating stewardship of Alberta’s land and water resources.

The primary provincial base map displays the Alberta Township System (ATS), major hydrographic features, municipalities, major roads, railways and select geoadministrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). In addition to the primary provincial base map, this series includes various themes that overlay the primary base map. The update of this map series is based on the provincial Base Features Access Update Program that has an approximate 5 year update cycle. Each individual map sheet is provided in Adobe .pdf format.
