This discussion paper includes two activities: firstly, a review of the Regulation and secondly, the opportunity to solicit your views on making changes to the garnishee process. Change to the garnishee process is a larger, long-term project which would require changes to the Act, which are not being contemplated in this consultation. However, the mandatory review of the Regulation provides an opportunity to commence preliminary discussion on possible reforms to the garnishee process.
