Intended as a resource for inspectors, project managers, and contractors. Provides commentary, interpretation and guidance on the provisions contained in the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction Edition 16 (2017) and the Engineering Consulting Guidelines for Highway, Bridge, and Water Projects, Volume 1 (2011) and Volume 2 (2013). Volume 2 of the manual consists of inspection check sheets developed for each technical section contained within Volume 1. These inspection check sheets are provided as a resource to the bridge construction inspector for conducting regular inspection activities.
