Description

This document provides information and guidance on each of the three compliance options for drilling waste disposal areas to assist well licencees and reclamation practitioners in meeting requirements for the Upstream Oil and Gas Reclamation and Remediation Program, which came into effect on October 1, 2003. Under the Program, oil and gas operators are required to submit drilling waste disposal information for drilling waste that was disposed of on a wellsite or at a remote sump or land treatment site to indicate compliance with Alberta Environment standards.

This document provides information and guidance on each of the three compliance options for drilling waste disposal areas to assist well licencees and reclamation practitioners in meeting requirements for the Upstream Oil and Gas Reclamation and Remediation Program, which came into effect on October 1, 2003.
