Description

This addendum outlines Forest Management Plan-specific ground rules which apply to area outlined in Forest Management Agreements 0100038 and 2100047 and forest management units C04, C02, C01, B01, B02 and B12. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules. Where a rule in this addendum and a rule in the provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the addendum governs. FMP-specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes.

They constitute the methods used to implement decisions made in forest management plans and other higher-level plans such as integrated resource plans. Ground rules establish practices that minimize the chance of negative effects from timber harvesting and forest management operations and activities.

This stewardship report describes the progress made by Sundre Forest Products Inc. towards achieving the commitments set out in the 2015 forest management plan (FMP), which was approved by the Alberta government on May 31, 2018. For the purposes of this report, the reporting timeframe is May 1, 2017, to April 30, 2022. The report provides details of SFP’s progress in implementing the forest management plan's preferred forest management scenario, as well as the status of the values, objectives, indicators and targets. Stewardship reports are a mechanism to compile, analyze, and report on approved FMP commitments.
