This two-page fact sheet describes the program and outlines the responsibilities of publishing departments, the Open Government Program, and participating libraries in ensuring the success of the program.

The document describes what information products are considered government publications under the guideline, sets out the publishing responsibilities of the various partners in the publishing process, and outlines the process for publishing. Appendices include information on the Government of Alberta's ISBN and depository library programs, and the application of the open government licence to government information.
