This report presents background information and justification for the performance specification standards developed as part of the revision and update of the Alberta Air Monitoring Directive. Air Resource Specialists, Inc. was contracted by Alberta Sustainable Resource and Development to assess available technologies for continuous ambient air quality and meteorological measurements. The information was used to develop and update specification standards sheets containing minimum performance specifications for the associated continuous analyzers.
