Description

Government requires grazing disposition holders to employ appropriate range management principles and practices to ensure a healthy, functional rangeland ecosystem is maintained on public lands for present and future generations. To this end, a stewardship assessment is required for each grazing disposition, with stewardship defined as the degree to which the grazing disposition holder is aware of and understands the four principles of range management and applies them to the stewardship of their grazing disposition.
