Presents long-term forecasts for population and water demand (withdrawals and consumptive use) to assist with water management planning in the South Saskatchewan River Basin. The major water use categories quantified are municipal, industrial, stockwatering, other agricultural (non-irrigation) and water management. (Water management uses include licensed projects involving lake stabilization, remediation and flood control.) The study was commissioned as part of the South Saskatchewan River Basin water management review.
