Description

Railways in Alberta must submit a safety management system plan as part of their operating approval. The purpose of this requirement is to provide a systematic way to control risk and to provide assurance that the system is effective and provides for a high level of safety. This guideline document is intended to help a railway operator develop their safety management system plan.

Environmental Impact Assessment and associated applications pertaining to the proposed Alberta Sulphur Terminals Ltd (Hazco) Sulphur Forming and Shipping Facility. The proposal includes the construction and operation of facilities for sulphur forming, storage and shipment for export and is located within the Industrial Heartland area of Lamont County, approximately 2.2 km east of Bruderheim. This manual is intended for use in conjunction with field data forms RDB 2002- 1 thru 4, developed by the Resource Data Branch, Alberta Sustainable Resource Development. The sections within this manual describe the field collection and data recording procedures that should be utilized when conducting Ecological Land Classification Projects. The definitions and codes provided in this manual insure data collection and recording procedures for conducting Ecological Land Classification Studies are consistent throughout the province. This is an important consideration since all data recorded on these field forms is to be entered into the Ecological Site Information System database (ESIS).
