Ces directives visent à fournir une aide financière juste, cohérente et transparente aux réclamants du secteur privé pour les pertes et dommages non assurables causés par des sinistres. Elles s’appliquent aux réclamants du secteur privé, y compris des propriétaires et locataires d’habitation, des propriétaires de petites entreprises, des propriétaires bailleurs, des exploitations agricoles, des associations de condominiums et des organisations et coopératives sans but lucratif.

These guidelines apply to private sector applicants to the Alberta Disaster Recovery Program, including homeowners, residential tenants, small business owners, landlords, agriculture operations, condominium associations and not-for-profit organizations and cooperatives. The guidelines have been developed and designed to provide fair, consistent and transparent financial assistance to private sector applicants for uninsurable loss and damage caused by disasters. Separate guidelines are provided for public sector applicants in the Alberta Public Sector Disaster Assistance Guidelines.

The Guidelines are designed and developed to provide fair, consistent and transparent financial assistance to public sector applicants for uninsurable loss and damage caused by disasters. These Guidelines apply to public sector applicants, including local authorities, provincial government ministries, agencies, boards and commissions. Description

This independent review was commissioned by the Alberta Emergency Management Agency to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of its processes in supporting the delivery of disaster recovery programs. Disaster recovery programs provide disaster recovery assistance to residents, small businesses, agriculture operators and provincial and municipal governments when a disaster occurs that is considered extraordinary, when the event is widespread, and when insurance is not reasonably or readily available.
