The Petroleum Industry Incident Support plan is the provincial-level plan to direct Government of Alberta operations to support a local authority or licensee during an emergency. It is intended solely for provincial departments and agencies. The change in name of this plan, from ‘Upstream Petroleum Incident Support Plan” to “Petroleum Industry Incident Support Plan” is intended to clarify that this plan may be used for any area of the petroleum industry where the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board has jurisdiction.
