Ministerial Order enabling a fire ban that applies to all public land, including land in the backcountry and in random camping areas, and on all privately owned land, within the following Fire Control Zones: Fire Ban in FCZ p/o 6 north of the Red Deer River, 7-15 and 40-41 Note FCZ 13, 14, 40 and 41 are added to the ban from the previous MO-09-2023.

Flood damage estimates are required for evaluating the cost effectiveness of projects designed to alleviate flood impacts. The Provincial Flood Damage Assessment Tool enables the standardized calculation of flood damages for varying levels of inundation within a community. Using this tool, a community-specific damage model for different flood frequencies has been developed for the City of Red Deer. Direct damages are presented as being caused by overland flooding and sewer backup/groundwater flooding. Indirect damages includes residential displacement, business interruption, and intangible impacts to households.
